About Me

I began my freelance writing career in 2008 to try something different and creative. I quickly found that I could convey my thoughts, explain a situation, or compel others to see the value in a specific item. As a freelance writer, I have enjoyed providing content to many exciting businesses in various fields.


I have just about every area of content marketing, including blog articles, technical articles, website content, newsletters, and other forms of marketing content. I do have a few niches that I enjoy covering more than others, like finance, investing, management, current events, and history. Still, I have always wanted to cover a topic I may need to be more familiar with because I learn something new through my research.


Research has always been as interesting to me as the actual crafting of words. This is the main reason I never focused on one niche as many of the “experts” suggest but instead preferred to cover a wide range of topics.


My favorite form of writing has always been “conversational.” I enjoy providing content that “speaks” to the reader as if I am just a friend discussing a topic with my reader. I guess you could say I enjoy the intimacy involved in conversational writing.


Before I started my freelance writing career, I was in middle management and even a business owner for the other half of my professional life. This experience has allowed me to understand a task from the viewpoint of both the business owner and the consumer. This ability has helped me to be successful in marketing and copywriting.


I could always speak to almost anyone on their level of understanding. This isn’t to say anyone is above or below anyone else, but that we all have a different level of understanding.


What matters most in your professional life is that you enjoy what you are doing. The saying goes, “If you enjoy what you’re doing, you’ll never work a day in your life.” I can confidently say I do enjoy writing.

    1. First off, what’s your name my friend? I doubt it’s canuckcopywriting LOL. Second and more important, you’re more than welcome. It’s actually a great idea to hangout here. I believe, no matter how many years you’ve been writing you can always learn something more everyday.

      I say it’s a great idea to hang here, not because I’m a literary marvel, but because I have a lot of good friends following me, adding extremely thought provoking comments and conversations and sharing some excellent work of their own.

      Also, if I can help you in any way, with your writing or your blog, please don’t hesitate for a second to ask me or one of my creative, experienced and kind friends. They believe, like myself, it’s not a competition to ensure my work is better than yours. It’s truly about fellowship and comradery. Writers are great kind, giving and helpful people, just look at me LOL.

      Also, if you ever steal my work, it will be easier to find Jimmy Hoffa than it will be to find you ever again LOL. I’m joking. I have to warn y’all I’ve been reading up on the mob and the Hoffa disappearance (especially since I Detroit’s favorite son). So everyone can expect to have to indulge me as I write a piece on the topic. Who knows, maybe together, we can find him.
